Vidyarthi Academy, Bhadrak, organised its Sankalpa Diwas and ‘Swagatam’ Day with enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of education, discipline, moral values, Sanskar and determination in shaping the future of students.
Dr. Guru Kalyan Mahapatra, Chief Editor of Samaya and distinguished journalist and social personality, attended the programme as the Chief Guest.
Pandit Sangram Acharya was the Chief Speaker, while retired IPS officer and former Special DGP Dr. Gopabandhu Mallik attended as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President of Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangha and Indian Federation of Small and Medium Newspapers, New Delhi, and Editor-in-Chief of Paryabekhyak and The Kalinga Chronicle, attended as the Distinguished Guest.
Addressing the students, Dr. Guru Kalyan Mahapatra said student life is the foundation of a successful and meaningful life. He advised students to cultivate discipline, punctuality, honesty, hard work and determination. Education, he said, should not be limited to securing good marks or employment, but should help create good human beings and responsible citizens.
Pandit Sangram Acharya emphasised that student life is the most valuable period for shaping one’s future. He urged students to set clear goals and pursue them with concentration, dedication and continuous effort. Education, he said, should make life meaningful and purposeful.
Dr. Gopabandhu Mallik stressed the importance of discipline, proper utilisation of time and a strong sense of duty. He advised students to work consistently with determination and a positive mindset.
Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray called upon students to combine modern education with values, morality and Sanskar. He encouraged them to identify their talents and use their knowledge and abilities for the progress of society and the nation.
Vidyarthi International School Principal Deepa Upadhyay conveyed her best wishes to the students. Academy Director Sunil Kumar Padhi spoke about the institution’s teaching methodology, its emphasis on the holistic development of students and its future plans.
As part of the ‘Swagatam’ Day, new students were warmly welcomed and wished success in their academic journey. The students also took a pledge to remain committed to their goals, maintain discipline, study regularly and grow into responsible and ideal citizens.
Ramachandra Panda, Achyuta Kumar Sahu, teachers, students and parents were present. The programme was conducted by Mitusmit Satapathy. The inspiring addresses of the distinguished guests infused the students with renewed confidence, enthusiasm and determination.
