Kendrapara (KCN):
The Annual Function 2026 of B.R. Science College, Hatasahi Kachery, Kendrapara, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and academic fervour in the presence of eminent educationists, distinguished guests, faculty members, students, and members of the public.
The meeting was presided over by Principal Shri Prasanta Kumar Dhal, while Prof. Dr. Karunakar Nanda, Director, Institute of Physics, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Ranjit Pradhan, Former Regional Director of Education, attended as the Chief Speaker and emphasized the importance of quality education, discipline, and value-based learning in shaping the future of students.
Among the honourable guests were Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President, Rashtriya Patrakara Mahasangh, New Delhi, Shri Pramod Kumar Nayak, Former Principal, and Dr. Bijay Kumar Nayak, Former Principal, who shared valuable insights on the role of higher education institutions in social and national development.

The annual report was presented by Dr. Aryabala Nayak, Reader in Botany, highlighting the academic achievements and activities of the college. Adhyapaka Kapil Charan Rout delivered a speech on the growth, vision, and future plans of the institution. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Adhyapaka Ratnakar Sethy, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Dibakar Behera.
Several faculty members including Adhyapaka Biranchi Narayan Samal, Kalyani Behera, Surasmita Pati, Alaka Tilu, Barshani Patra, Diptirekha Janamani, Simarani Rout, Puspashree Mallick, Madhusmita Behera, Shri Ashrumochan Mohanty, Shri Mukesh Chandra Bhanja, Durga Prasad Sethy, Prasanta Kumar Nayak, Suresh Kar, Madam Nanda, and Prof. Dr. Fakir Pradhan were present and contributed to the success of the event.
A cultural programme performed by the students added colour and vibrancy to the occasion. A large number of students and members of the public attended the function, making it memorable and inspiring. The event concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
