By Dr. Pabitra Mohan SamantarayBinayak Sir was a well-known and respected personality in our Area Though I had known and seen him since my childhood, my first personal interaction with him took place in 1996 through my friend, Late Niranjan of Bhushandpur village.
At that time, I was serving as the Odisha Head of the Maharishi International organizations. We had several rounds of discussions regarding the establishment of a “Maharishi Centre of Excellence” and a CBSE Public School at Naranpur Mouza under Badachana. Unfortunately, due to certain unavoidable reasons, the project could not materialize.

However, from that period onwards, a deep bond developed between us. Later, after coming closer to Satya Bhai and the family, that relationship gradually transformed into a strong family association built on affection, respect, and mutual trust.
During the 2009 Odisha Assembly Elections, when I contested as the BJP candidate from the Badachana Constituency, I received invaluable guidance, encouragement, and advice from Vinayak Sir. His words of wisdom and moral support during that crucial phase of my public life remain unforgettable.
For the past several years, as I have been residing mostly outside Odisha, my communication with Sir continued mainly over telephone. After his health began to deteriorate, I regularly enquired about his condition through Satya Bhai, Pintu, Tapan, Shyam, and other close associates.
Being away from Odisha , I could not have the privilege of paying my final respects to him in person, which remains a matter of deep sorrow and personal pain for me. Though Sir is no longer physically present among us, his blessings, values, and guidance will continue to inspire all of us forever.
In this moment of profound grief, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family members, relatives, friends, students, and admirers. I pray to Lord Mahavinayak and Lord Jagannath for the eternal peace and salvation of his noble soul.
Om Shanti. Om Shanti. Om Shanti.
