Cuttack:
The official visit of the District Chairperson of Inner Wheel, Mrs. Madhusmita Tripathy, was successfully organized by the Inner Wheel Club of Cuttack at the JPM Rotary Eye Hospital, CDA, Cuttack.
Mrs. Tripathy was accorded a warm welcome by Club President Mrs. Ritimmukta Pattnaik, Secretary Mrs. Kiran Agrawal, and Immediate Past President Mrs. Mamata Panda. The Club President delivered the welcome address, while the Secretary presented the annual report highlighting the club’s activities. Addressing the gathering, the District Chairperson emphasized the need to further enhance the visibility and outreach of Inner Wheel activities among the public.

During the visit, Mrs. Tripathy was introduced to the 40 club members present. She thoroughly reviewed the club records and files, appreciating the systematic documentation and consistent service initiatives undertaken by the club.
The meeting was further enriched by the presence of Past District Chairperson Mrs. Sanghamitra Sahu, Past Presidents Mrs. Sanjukta Pattnaik and Mrs. Gayatri Das, along with other senior members. Members of Rotary Club of Cuttack, including the President and team, were also present, and felicitation was conducted in their presence.
As part of the service projects undertaken during the visit, ₹2,500 per month was sanctioned as educational assistance to student Ipsita Nayak. An amount of ₹2,000 was provided to a dance instructor who imparts training to differently-abled children at Rama Devi Shishu Bihar, a special school.
Financial assistance amounting to ₹18,000 was extended to four cancer patients for medical treatment and nutritional support. At the Nasha Nivaran and Rehabilitation Centre “Paribartan” in Choudwar, rehabilitated children were provided with bedsheets, mats, and pillows worth ₹10,000. Additionally, 50 packets of protein powder were distributed among patients at Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer.
Further, cakes, chocolates, protein powder, and play materials such as mats, toys, drawing books, color pencils, and other recreational items were donated to the children’s ward and kids’ zone of a healthcare institution. A special midday meal was also served to senior citizens at the old-age home “Shraddha Sadhana” in honor of the District Chairperson’s visit.
On this auspicious occasion, Mrs. Lopamudra Sahu was formally inducted as a new member of the Inner Wheel Club of Cuttack. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Vice President Mrs. Sumitra Nanda, who expressed gratitude to the District Chairperson and all members for their active participation.
As part of the visit, Mrs. Tripathy also inaugurated the Municipal Government Girls’ High School, Thoriasahi, as a “Happy School”. She appreciated the club’s meaningful initiatives and encouraged members to undertake more impactful and sustainable projects in the future.
