Bhubaneswar, May 15: A special worship and felicitation programme was organized by Mamata Charitable Trust at Chandrasekharpur on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The event was presided over by Dr. Mamata Mohanty, who highlighted the greatness and significance of motherhood in society.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mohanty said that a mother’s selfless love is nothing less than God’s blessing. She described “Mother” as the first love and the first teacher in a person’s life, adding that mothers play the most vital role in shaping society and building strong moral values among children.
Among the distinguished guests, Mr. Pranab Prasad Chotray , President of Odisha Silpi Mahasangha, emphasized that mothers should nurture their children to become courageous, self-respecting, and morally strong individuals. He stated that mothers have a key role in creating ideal personalities like Swami Vivekananda.
Renowned educationist Dr. Debasish Pattnaik successfully conducted the programme. Faculty members from KIIT University also spoke on the dedication, ideals, and strength of motherhood, while highlighting the importance of Arya values and culture.
Hundreds of mothers and students participated in the programme. At the conclusion, noted social worker and organizer Pradyumna Mahapatra extended the vote of thanks to all participants and guests. On this occasion, financial assistance was also provided to talented students of KIIT University.
