Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Legislative Assembly has been adjourned till Monday due to opposition protests over SCB fire tragedy which claimed 13 lives.
According to reports, the Assembly session began on Thursday but was disrupted by protests, leading to adjournments. The Speaker, Surama Padhy, first adjourned the House till 11:30 am, but protests continued
The Assembly was closed mid-day today for Rukuna Rath Yatra and will remain closed tomorrow for Ram Navami. It will also be closed on March 28, the last Saturday of the month. The Assembly will then resume on Monday, skipping Sunday.
