Bhubaneswar: Over 400 students received appointment letters during a campus placement drive held at Government Polytechnic, Bhubaneswar, under the ‘Campus to Career’ programme on Wednesday.
Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain distributed the appointment letters and said that employment marks the beginning of a new phase of learning. He said skill development in Odisha is helping students become industry-ready and competitive in the job market.
The students, who completed training in various trades, secured placements through campus recruitment in over 32 reputed companies, including Tata Power, JSW, Paytm, Yazaki and MedPlus. Among the selected candidates are 175 male and 234 female students. Paytm offered the highest annual package of Rs 3.95 lakh.
