Paradip Port Authority
India’s Paradip Port Authority has appointed Susanta Kumar Purohit as chairman, with the senior government official taking additional charge of the country’s major east coast gateway.
Purohit, a 1996-batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers, brings experience spanning port management, infrastructure, administration and sustainable development.
He takes the helm of one of India’s largest ports by cargo volume, a key gateway for dry bulk and other commodities serving the country’s eastern industrial hinterland.
