New Delhi.Rajya Sabha MP and National President of OBC Morcha BJP, Dr. K. Laxman said that visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for minimum consumption of petroleum products and minimum purchase of gold is the need of the hour due to current international instability.
Shri Laxman said that amidst global instability, concern for the nation is the Prime Minister’s national duty and responsibility. Due to international unrest and the US–Israel,Iran war,an atmosphere of economic uncertainty has been created at the global level. In such a situation, strengthening the national currency reserves and saving money within the country by adopting indigenous products becomes the foremost duty of all citizens. He said that today the level of politics has fallen so low that the opposition has started placing party interest above national interest. As a result, instead of supporting this positive appeal of the government,a position is busy to prove the failure of the government.MP Laxman said that in 1967,then Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi had also appealed to the citizens not to buy gold due to the war situation,so that India’s economy could be balanced and strengthened. At that time, the opposition strongly supported late Prime Minister Gandhi’s appeal and called it necessary in national interest. But due to the irresponsible attitude of the opposition,a situation of political anarchy has arisen in the country. The opposition misleading the public against the government as its failure.
