New Delhi: The Supreme Court has acquitted a man from Odisha who spent nearly 22 years in jail after his conviction in a triple murder case, holding that evidence against him was ‘weak and highly unreliable.’In a strong-worded observation, the Apex Curt noted that 22 years of a man’s life were taken away without any credible evidence. The SC voiced concern that a procedural lapse by the Orissa High Court had kept the man behind bars for an additional decade.
