The capital city witnessed an inspiring celebration of women’s empowerment and safety as the ‘Odisha Run for Her’ marathon was held in a grand manner at Master Canteen Square and Lower PMG on Sunday morning.
The event was inaugurated by Olympian sprinter Dutee Chand, setting a spirited tone for the day. Jajpur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Rabindra Narayan Behera, Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President of Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangha, National Media Confederation, Indian Federation of Small and Medium Newspapers (New Delhi) and Editor-in-Chief of Paryabekhyak and The Kalinga Chronicle, graced the occasion as chief guests.

The marathon, organized by Itisha Foundation, drew enthusiastic participation from people across age groups, all united by the cause of women’s safety and empowerment. The event also featured a cultural program and a felicitation ceremony honoring achievers from various fields.
