Puri, July 2026:
On the auspicious occasion of the annual Rath Yatra, Samar Kranti Sena, a revolutionary social organisation, organised a humanitarian service camp near the Abakash Police Station, close to Mausi Maa Temple on the Grand Road (Bada Danda), Puri. The organisation distributed drinking water and dry food among thousands of devotees participating in the world-famous festival.
The service programme was actively carried out by the organisation’s members, including Vidyadhar Mahapatra, Janaki Ballabh Dhal, Soumitra Kar, Basudev Parida, Alok Mohanty, Ajit Sahu, Shankar Behera, Manoranjan Sahu, Basudev Sahu, Dushmanta Behera, Harekrushna Baral, Chinmaya Nayak, Somnath Behera, Supriya Ranjit, Sushanta Ranjit, Diptesh Nayak, Hemanta Swain, Prabhat Barik, Narayan Chhualsingh, Hrushikesh Pradhan, Abhimanyu Maharana, Prashanta Thakua, Dhaneswar Lenka, Diptesh Sethi, Pratyush Parida, Mukesh Singh, Tilak Raj Singh, Anush Singh, and Dr. Pramod Kishore Parida, Secretary of the organisation.
The programme was supported by several eminent personalities, including Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, Editor of Dainik Paryabekhyak; Subhasish Mishra, Editor of Dainik Pratikar; Manoj Sethi, Editor of Dainik Samaj Aina; senior journalist Sujnani Choudhury; Sarat Chandra Jena (President); Ajay Pal, Tukuna Baliarsingh, Chandan Babu, Rinku Behera, and Dayanidhi Swain.
Apart from serving refreshments to devotees, the volunteers also participated in the cleanliness drive along the Grand Road, contributing to the smooth and hygienic conduct of the Rath Yatra.
The organisation expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Rath Yatra Management Committee for granting permission and recognition to undertake this noble service.
