Bhubaneswar, 05/09/2026:
Youth leader Satyabrata Nayak from the Ranpur area of Nayagarh district has been appointed as a General Secretary of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) in the new Pradesh Congress Committee constituted by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Sri Bhakta Charan Das.
Earlier, Satyabrata had successfully served as President of the Nayagarh District Congress Committee, General Secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee, General Secretary of the State Student Congress and Youth Congress, and State president of the Youth Wing of (INTUC).
At present, he is serving as National Organising Secretary of the Rashtriya Mazdoor Congress (INTUC), Vice-President of its State Branch, President of the Nayagarh District Branch, and Founder-President of the Odisha Rajiv Gandhi Students Forum. He has been working in various organisational positions of the party for more than 30 years.
With considerable experience in social service and politics, the appointment of Satyabrata as General Secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee has been warmly welcomed by the people of the Nayagarh–Ranpur area. Congress office-bearers and workers in the Ranpur area have expressed great enthusiasm over his appointment.
For this appointment, Satyabrata has expressed his gratitude to AICC President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Bhakta Charan Das, and INTUC Odisha State President Dr. Ramachandra Khuntia.
