Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on July 4 for a two-day tour during which he will inaugurate a major industrial project and address a public meeting, Baragada MP Pradeep Purohit said on Monday.
According to the MP, Shah will arrive at Jharsuguda Airport on July 4 and proceed to Baragada, where he will inaugurate an ethanol production project. The programme is part of the Centre’s push to promote industrial and energy-related investments in the region.
Following the inauguration, the Union Home Minister will travel to Sambalpur, where he is scheduled to stay overnight.
On July 5, Shah will address a public meeting in Sambalpur. He is also expected to interact with party workers and members of the public during the programme.
The visit is likely to highlight the Central government’s development initiatives in Odisha, along with efforts to strengthen organisational activities of the party in the state.
